THE FINISH LINE

IN THE BEGINNING

As soon as the ground thawed - a new well was dug and a new septic system installed.

DEMO DAY !!

Why do men love "Demo Day" ?!?

Being built in 1840 - all studs were hand hewn and we tore the lovely lady down to the bare wood.  In the original building, new studs were "sistered in".

 new rooms were created

 a loft was built

GARDENS

Wonderful space for flowers including native Wisconsin wildflowers.

The vegetable gardens were treated organically

Enjoy asparagus, rhubarb, red and white raspberries and your favorite seasonal plantings

GUEST SUITE

MAIN LEVEL

Great change in the Great Room - addition of 8' sliding French doors and clerestory by Pella which opens to a new deck and access to the garden.

LOWER LEVEL PROGRESS

The lower level was a great surprise......after removing all the knotty pine paneling we found the tree trunks, complete with bark, and the hand hewn joists and beams.

The lower level now has a new concrete floor, new I-beams that run the length of the building and adjustable supports.  New floor joists
were sistered-in and I have been assured I could have River Dance on the main level and it wouldn't hurt anything.

Both staircases were also rebuilt.

Windows have been repaired, re-caulked and painted.
